The Chang Luang Elephant house provides details about the importance of elephants in the Thai society and how they contribute to warfare. Visitors also get to learn about legendary war elephants of the past.
The museum also provides insights into the biology of elephants and details about how they behave/ Prehistoric elephants are also highlighted with fossil displays.
There’s also an elephant gallery where visitors can enjoy a variety of exhibits and cultural artwork related to elephants.
The Surin Elephant Musuem also provides traditional elephant-related performances for all visitors.
According to The Nation, the museum was established by the Dr Thiam Chokwattana Foundation and aims to promote tourism and culture in Thailand.
