With a goal to maintain a green environment and prevent pollution, the trained lawyer who is also business-oriented has introduced reusable ecological bags onto the market in Burkina Faso, as an alternative to single-use plastic bags.
“Small actions can have a huge impact. These reusable ecological bags present themselves as alternatives to single-use plastic bags which pollute our environment,” Mohamed Faysal Nébié was quoted by local news outlet Libre Info.
As manager of the African Innovation Business Fireawn, he introduced this idea which is as a result of a project called “Eco”.
The bags are non-woven and can be used not only as gift bags but also as shopping bags among other things.
They are designed with materials that make them waterproof, light and recyclable.
The bags also have stamped images of Burkina Faso tourist sites including the monument of national heroes, the granite sculptures of Laongo, and the old mosque of Diolassoba among others.
These promote the culture and tourism potential of the country.
