Iran has called on US President-elect Donald Trump to take immediate action to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza, where Israel has been engaged in a battle with Hamas for more than a year.

In a press briefing on Monday, November 11, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, urged the incoming American president to "stop the continued genocide" in the Gaza Strip.

Baghaei’s remarks came amid escalating tensions in Gaza, where Israel’s offensive against Hamas continues, drawing widespread international concern over civilian casualties and the humanitarian crisis.

The Iranian government has consistently voiced its support for Palestinian groups, including Hamas, and has been a vocal critic of Israel's military operations.

Tehran's call for intervention by the US president-elect comes as part of its broader diplomatic efforts to influence the future direction of US foreign policy in the Middle East under the incoming Trump administration.
